|Moving Shapes in a Painting Program|
You can only move parts of a picture in a painting program. This can often leave holes in the shapes.
|Moving Shapes in a Drawing Program|
In a drawing program, any line or shape you draw on the screen is called an object. They are therefore known as object-based programs.
The objects are stored in layers on top of each other. This means that you can move them about without leaving any holes.
