Composing Music to Represent a Mood

You can compose music to represent a particular mood by using a set of pictures with a particular theme. You can describe the quality of the sounds (timbre) they create using musical and descriptive words.
Combining Electronic and Live Sounds
A lot of musical sequences have a rhythmic pattern that is repeated. You can use a percussion instrument like a triangle or wooden blocks to play this rhythmic pattern. In this way, you can combine a computer tune with real instruments. You could even write some lyrics that fit in with the melody so that you can sing along too!
