Bar Charts Pie Charts Line Graphs
This bar chart shows that the most popular way of travelling to school is by car, and the least popular is by bicycle. This pie chart shows that about a third of the class have brown eyes. This line graph shows how the temperature gradually changes during each month of the year.

Comparing Charts

It is easy to compare proportions of things using pie charts.

Here, you can clearly see that Year 4 has the greater fraction of girls.

You canít tell which class has more girls though, because you donít know how many children are in each class.
