There could be lots of problems if there were mistakes in a database that helps carry out a task:

Database Data Stored in each Record What if there are errors?
School Attendance
Name of Child

Attendance
The wrong class may win the weekly attendance award.

Children may be trapped in a fire and nobody would know if they were marked as absent.
Supermarket
Name of Product

Sell-by date

Price
Customers may be charged the wrong price for their shopping.

Customers may buy food that is out of date and could make them ill.

It is therefore important that you always check a database to make sure there are no mistakes in it.
