Searching for Pages within a Website
Many websites offer tools to help you find specific pages on their site quickly:

Menu A menu allows you to click your mouse on an icon or graphic to be taken to a page all about that particular topic.
Index An index lists all the pages on a website in alphabetical order, each containing a hyperlink to their location. This list is usually quite long and so you often have to scroll down until you find the link you want.
Key Word Search This will search all the pages on the website and list a set of links to those pages that contain references to the key words or phrases you are looking for. It won’t recognise words spelt incorrectly or idiosyncratic terms (such as kitty).

Some search tools are sometimes more useful than others – a menu and index will always take you to a web page, whereas a key word search might not find any relevant pages on a website at all.
