As computers are used for long periods of time, people can suffer from health problems. The most common ones are:

Eye Strain If you spend too long looking at a monitor you can get eye strain, headaches and discomfort. Bad lighting and sitting too close can make the problem worse.
Back & Neck Problems If you sit still for a long time and slouch on the chair it could lead to back problems in later life.
Wrist Problems Typing for a long time without a break can lead to wrist problems. Repetitive Strain Injury is caused when the muscles in your hands and wrists become tired and start tingling.
Electrical Hazards Poorly maintained electrics or wiring could lead to an electric shock or a fire.
